Why is parent training better than ABA therapy? A couple hours a week of ABA therapy will never compete with Mom or Dads 24/7 AS as Parent. Parent training provides you with your own personal Board Certified Behavioral Analyst who will train you to be your child's best therapist.
As a BCBA and mother of two, I advocate for Parent Coaching over traditional ABA therapy because it emphasizes holistic family involvement, empowers sustainable impact, its approach is tailored to family dynamics, it focuses on emotional and social development, and responsiveness to changing needs, making it a more enduring and family-centered alternative.
Parent training deepened my understanding of my child's unique perspective, allowing me to connect with him on a profound level. The skills acquired were not only directly applicable to our daily life but also provided a consistent and tailored approach, reducing stress and involving our entire family in better supporting each other.
